There have been countless champions in the sport of drag racing. Here is a brief review of some of the most respectable individuals in the sport. Head this way for some inspiration!

John Harold Force

John is an American drag racer who has been a professional racer for more than 16 years. He won many races and championships, having had more than 143 victories. He launched his racing career with Corvette and Monza cars.

In 1994, he drove a Chevrolet and from 1995 to 1996 a Pontiac. From 1996 to 2001, he was ranked first in all the competitions he participated in. In 2003, he won his tenth World Cup title.

Kenny Bernstein

Bernstein is also an American drag racer. Starting in 1979, he won the Funny Car Championship (his first championship) in 1985. He won the championship consecutively for the next three years.

In 1990, he drove the Top Fuel Dragster car. In 1996, he won the NHRA title. Bernstein retired in 2002, but he came back in 2006 under the Funny Car division.

In the 2007 season, he participated in two events but failed to qualify. He finally retired at the end of the season.

Bob Glidden

Bob Glidden launched his career in 1960 with Ford cars. He is an American drag racer. In 1972, he was ranked second after participating in his first pro-race. In 1974, he won Spring Nationals and US Nationals events.

In the 1980s, he won many competitions, including the Winston title. In 1990, Glidden won three events and only one event in 1991. In 1992 and 1993, he won two events each. Glidden won his final event in 1995 and retired in 1997.

Erica Enders

Erica Enders-Stevens started drag racing at the age of 8 years. In 1993, the bright young talent won four Junior Championships in the 8 to 9 years old category. She went on to win the Junior Dragster of the year title in 1995. She was also awarded the NHRA Sportsman Rookie of the Year trophy.

Enders participated in her first national event in the year 2000 and became the youngest NHRA finalist. In 2004, Enders won the NHRA Super Gas tournament. In 2012, she continued stunning spectators when she won NHRA Pro Stock. She is still actively involved with drag racing today.
